Somebody say, “Slow down.”
There was a guy who worked for a Japanese snack packaging company, Mr. Ako. He was working 110 hours a week. True story: putting in 110 hours a week. That's two and a half weeks worth in one week. He worked 16 hours a day, seven days a week. I read his story this week. So he died. He had a heart attack at his desk. They found him dead at 34 years of age. He worked himself to death.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have a message for you today. Don’t work yourself to death. Have a little fun in life. Somebody say, “Have some fun in life.”
CNN did a study in 2017 that says stress is killing us. They said 75 to 90% of all visits to the health clinic are stress-related.
Our lack of margin means we don't have enough margin. We could reduce stress by increasing the margin in our lives.
I like what Dr. Richard Swenson said. He said we need to create more margin because too many people live with too little margin. What does it mean to have a margin?
When you are out of the house, you are 10 minutes late getting the kids to school, and you have to stay 10 extra minutes at the bank, making you 30 minutes late for your doctor's appointment. You have no margin in your life.
When you get to the top of the stairs and are out of breath, you have no margin in your life. You need some margin. This year, we all need to look for ways to find some margin in our lives so that you and I will look like we're rested up, born-again believers, and have a good gospel to tell somebody.
Come on, somebody! You're so tired; you look like the second cousin to the Hee Haw dog!
Do you have enough margin in your life?
What will you do today to create more margin in your life?
Thank you for watching and listening. Please share with someone else today. Thank you!:-)
Look forward to every Thursday, and your messages, best part of my life right now ❤️
